Anza Borrego Desert State Park (the largest state park in California) is filled with all sorts of adventure opportunities from camping and hiking to horseback riding, stargazing, and golf. But the eagerly anticipated springtime wildflower blooming season is one of its biggest draws for visitors. This easy to knit stranded colorwork design was inspired by patches of wildflowers against the neutral backdrop of the desert floor. Three different colors and three slightly different stitch patterns create a colorful landscape reminiscent of a springtime “super bloom.”
